Our people, the people who come here and call us their second home, have consistently expressed a desire for awesome books. Books that transport them into their best worlds filled with creativity and wonder--but books they can read with their teens or their mom. 

Here's the situation: Smut sells. For some people, romantasy is life. We don't believe in censoring books. There are lots of book stores that sell all the best selling works.

Curating though? That's a different story. Our audience at Emerge has always been family-friendly events for the whole family. We believe that all ages should have a space that parents can come without worrying about what their kids (or themselves) will see or hear. 

We hear you. That's why all the books at Emerge will be exciting, inspiring, good-loving, noble-bright fantasy and fiction--without excessive gore, language or open-door romance. 

Is it bold? Yeah, and maybe not as popular. But if we've learned anything this year, it's that people want inspiring books--they just don't know where to find them.
